my name is brent and i love to play guitar. i've been playing for many years. somewhere along the way i stopped playing - i think it was girls that did it. years later i started playing again and felt reborn. i know i'll never put my axe down again. i listen to greg howe, gary hoey, holdsworth, johnson, j becker and about 1000 more. i gig occasionally and am in 3 bands: a blues band, a rock/hard rock cover band and a metal band. i jam at my house and other places and just love it. if you're writing a profile then you're a diehard guitar freak like me.

i just started recording some stuff but its all new to me so im learning as i go. i basically have nothing in regards to gear but want to someday have my own pro studio in my house.

My Gear

1) washburn N2 - 16 yrs old still kicks ass- put some evolutions in there a while ago just to say i love you 2)jp music man - almost too pretty to play 3) schecter hellraiser-black with mother of pearl along the body, seymour d pups, very righteous 4) '67 -'70 les paul- bought this one at a second hand store for $150 - they had no idea what the hell they were doing! 5)DKMG Jackson- for my metal band - mahogany body + floyd rose + emg's = metal 6) old classical guitar- chix dig it when you play 'romantic guitar' 7) ash flame top Ibanez acoustic/electric - very nice sound and feel- so glad i bought it 8) esp 5 string bass - b/c there are no reliable bass players in my neighbourhood 8)line 6 spider jam - well worth the pennies it costs 9)peavey 80 watt tube amp - probably 10 yrs old - its been through hell and back and it still bites derriere 'ard 10) mesa boogie Roadster cab/head. no comment necessary. i chose this amp over my ex girlfriend - equally as loud but way more satisfying 11) recording gear: macbook laptop - for my M Audio interface, shure sm57 mic and a condenser mic. thats it. i do have a bose surround system -tweets, mids and a bigass woof - for my mac (i bought it at the mac store) so i might be able to use that for monitors. from the little that ive read maybe not though. 12) my effects are as follows: vox wah...thats it
