I've been playing guitar since I was 16, and reading this magazine from the beginning when my Dad gave me the first old issues he had frmo the 90's. I'm a singer/songwriter and produce and record all my own stuff. My Dad received lessons from Pat Methany when he was younger, and I never had a lesson myself. I'm self taught, play by ear, and taught myself to read tabs. I've been in bands throughout my childhood, but since then I have found myself in life struggle, as all starving artists do. I'm currently in Fort Gordon, GA in the U.S. Army, and I'm pursuing my goal to actually make it in the music business. Most people dream of it... but I've made it a life's goal when I was 18. I'm working hard on making my way to the top, and I highly respect ALL other guitarists to do the same. I've been on an episode as an extra on One Tree Hill when I lived in Wilmington, NC. If you don't plan on making it to the top, and it's just a hobby, then that's understandable, and I admire that just as much because you let the guitar give you a fun time. Music is my life's blood. I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, and moved all over the state throughout life, been married, divorced, etc. Someday...
