My name is Jaron Hubele and i have been playing guitar for close to 3 years now. I have an Ibanez Prestige that i freakin' love, nothing i've played has come close to it. However i would really love to have that that Motley Crue edition Strat cuz Mick Mars rocks and have great respect for him still putting on kick ass shows. I just recently got back from Crue Fest and lemme tell you, Buck Cherry and Motley Crue make one hell of a team. It ROCKED!!!
I have five favorite guitarists, not based on what they have accomplished, just based on makin' kick ass music.
1. Angus Young- not the best technique if your a virtuoso, but hey, he knows what he's doin' and it rocks EVERY time...Not to mention while he's constantly jumping around giving the fans well more than their monies worth.
2. Steve Vai- Steve Vai has it all...hes the master of innovation and taking sonic capabilities to the next level. He can throw you out of your seat with a song like "The Audience is Listening" or he can make you cry with a track like "Tender Surrender".
3. Eddie Van Halen- What more needs to be said?
4. John Petrucci- Okay this guy is a freak of nature. To me his guitar ability is analogous to that of a machine. Perfect. Petrucci can play an entire novel on the guitar...Perfectly. He is the master of Prog Metal, where he will always remain.
5. Tom Morello- Funk with Rock...best combo ever. Almost every riff is catchy and makes u wanna starting stomping your foot and the ground, and this guy gets a +10 for innovation. If u want music to rob a bank to, check out morello's work.
