Hello, Y'all. My name is Elijah Jered Scot. I have been wanting to learn to play the guitar for a while, just getting around to it has been my problem. Another problem I had in getting around to studying was the fact of my parents insisting on a piano instead of a guitar. Though the scars they caused me are deep, I am strong now. I have accepted the fact that I can't play the piano very well. I have even forgiven my piano teacher. I know it's time to move on. Sooooooo...

Today being my fourty-sixth birthday, I have resolved to learn this dawgone instrument by setting aside time to do so. I promise you that I cannot be more resolute! I have a book of cords. I have my gee-tar... and I have you, my friends, to spur me onward!

I will learn to play! I will study daily! By this time, next year, I will play better than my buddy, Shane (http://tabs.guitarworld.com/videos/show/873/freestyle-jam), even though he has been playing most of his life!
