Hey Rich, who's the next Guitar Ledgends going to be about?
hello richard i am doing a report on oral history in my american history class at school i was wondering if you kindly share some stories of what it was like when you were a child
sorry for the time being you can only view them. no downloading option...
Is there a way we can copy the gw professional tabs or would that be stealing?
popmusicsucks: Thanks! Always enjoy talking to Mick. Glad you liked the mag...
iron maiden - here's some info straight from our gear editor Paul Riario:
It's not true. There is good wood and bad wood. There is wood that's ideal for furniture and other things and then there is wood that's ideal for instruments. Now, the wrong type of wood has been used for instruments and that's probably where you're hearing this, and I can only guess that it's from overseas junk...not actual, reputable overseas manufacturers of musical instruments...but stuff you would see, say, in a flea market.
Basswood has been used many guitars. And to put an end to that theory is to take a look at OLP guitars line of Music Man instruments, they're all practically using Basswood with Floyd Roses and other tremolos.

I love the new magazine Guitar Legends. You do a great job. I loved the articles in the Motley Crue one. I'll be buying more for sure.
Hey dude, do you mind if ask another question? here it is: I was checking out ibanez's new rg 350m guitar and its made out of basswood. I read articles where people said you can't have a floating bridge with a basswood body, because if you tighten the screws it will chew up the wood, because basswood breaks really easy. Is that true? I've never had a basswood guitar and when i saw the ibanez rg 350m i thought the price was amazing for what you get.
Thanks, I bought a prepaid visa so i can get some strings and other accessories online, but the card keeps getting declined. Thanks for the info, I should be posting a video in a couple days if everything goes well...
ironmaiden - go to tabs.guitarworld.com/shredtheweb and click on Submit Video. Or click on the Enter Now link on the right side of this page. And you have until September 16 to enter. Doesn't matter when you do it. Good lick!
How do you upload a shred the web video? Did the contest already start?!!! I need to buy some new strings and a guitar cable, does it matter if I start late?
awesomo - looks like you figured it out. Nice vid!
popmusicsucks - Neil was very cool. Nice guy and very smart. Has some of the coolest vintage gear I've seen!
