Dear nice people on the internet,

Apparently I must have missed interpreted the title of the contest. "Shred the Web". Using context clues, I was able to put together the idea that upon entering said contest, my video should contain passages that fit the style of Shred. With a bit of research I found Shred to be defined as "a unique style of electric guitar playing that focuses on quickly executing advanced techniques to increase the speed of the playing, often being utilized in the above-mentioned neo-classical metal". With this in mind, I constructed a two take, brainless video of 2 minutes of technical playing. Had the contest been called "Soul the Web" (doesn't really have much of a ring to it eh?) or "Feel the Web" my video may have included lots of BB King style one note bends, slides or other such playing.

Upon being voted in the top 10, I can only guess that my assumption must have been at least partly correct.

If you were looking for playing with soul, you should look elsewhere than the genre of shred. And hence, look elsewhere than my video.
