Hey Ben! I hope all is well. I finally finished my video yesterday afternoon. My fingers were sore as hell so that'll have to do! :D I went with Stairway, with some perhaps unexpected variations throughout. Still trying to upload a copy to YouTube as well, without it getting out of sync.

Thanks a lot man, I'll def support you next contest. As of now I still have 3 songs in mind haha. The tricky thing about this contest is not knowing what all the others are doing, so if 10 people do the same song, there's going to be a big bar set and there's so much more pressure that way, but i'll do my best to play the song and hopefully people will like it. But i'm glad we're cool now man!

yes....hot for teacher it is. i suck at it. but eddie is more well known than jimmy page (or equally as much) as any of the other guitarists that play the songs we are choosing from. hot for teacher is kinda gay because i feel like im only using 2 fingers through the whole song (lol, all van halen songs are like that) but, its what i picked and im sticking with it.

Hey, man I told you that you were an awesome player and I didn't have any problems with you. I logged into here and saw that you have been telling various people that I have been speaking negatively about you on different user names. I just want you to know that I haven't at all and i feel bad that you didn't make it to the top because you definitely should have been up there with the rest of us! I just don't want you to think I would put anyone here down in any way and that we're all here for the same reason. Good luck entering other comps when you're of age because you have great potential man! Hey Ben, actually I hadn't listened to Avenged Sevenfold before the other day. I liked the solo possibly the most out of all of the songs, and I like the heaviness and progressive sound, but for some reason they're not really my thing....weird...I think it's the vocal style. I tend to lean toward brutal metal vocals (death metal/black metal) or just really excellent singers (Mike Akerfeld, Jorn Lande). Really, though, vocals shouldn't matter here, so I may still consider that song, or maybe Pantera, or Led Zeppelin....or Judas Priest....? lol I can't decide yet, so I'm basically learning all of them for now and seeing which one hints to me that "this is the one". :) Then, I'll have to figure out how I want to approach playing it my way.....meanwhile the clock's ticking away! lol Thanks for the suggestions bro! \m/
