This contest is aimed to look for a shredder, a good shredder, the BEST shredder on the web. Not any guy with a camera and a fast picking hand who can play fast as hell but also SLOPPY as hell. This song, which is also an original composition made by him just for this competition, might not be any speedmetal song made with a lot of fast solos, or even aimed for speed at all, but as we all can clearly see, this video shows that this guy CAN actually play fast solos extremely clean and greatly performed, and as I said, I honestly think THAT is what the contest's sponsors are looking for here. The best person who can handle fast solos best.

If you dont agree with me, thats ok, this is a free world (well, sort of), but when the final round comes, and all the top 10 contestants (supposing that the current top 10 is the final top t 10) have to play a song chosen by the CREATORS of this contest, who will you think will do best there? Truly.

Also, most of them are also videos of some random keyless "shredding", which by their definition it must mean something like "Playing a lot of random notes as fast as possible with a lot of distortion which will make it sound awesome to 10 y/o kids with no actual musical skills".

Is that shredding for you guys? Playing 120391283 notes per second but in no scales, with no soul, no actual music played, just a lot of sounds playing fast? Do you guys think "that" is what this contest is looking for? Honestly, I dont think so.

Guys, whats all this "hating" stuff here? You are all talking about the fact that this video is not "shredding" but, can ANY of you even define the word "Shred"? Lets look it up in the biggest and most important encyclopedia of the web, wikipedia:

"The act of playing fast passages on an electric guitar is termed ‘shredding’"

Hell, this video/song might not have an EXCESS of fast solos but believe me (and if not, see it for yourself), the fast passages in this song are WAAAY much cleaner than any of the other videos that are currently in the top 10, in fact, in my opinion they are 99.9% clean, if not 100%.
But if you go watch the videos of the other contestants, you will find out they are very, VERY sloppy and most of them have a lot of open string noises that only makes it annoying to listen because they are too sloppy.
